Find a good puppy kindergarten class, its time to build some confidence!

Try leaving him alone with FUN things - if it doesn't work you can start with just distance in a room - give him a stuffed kong for example. Wait until he is enjoying it, and then walk out for just a few minutes. Come right back. Do not make a big deal about it.

Work on out of sight stuff - leave the room , come back in, toss a cheerio if he is quiet. Do not walk in when he is freaking out, that just reinforces that crying gets you to come back.

Maybe ask a new person to supervise him while you leave and have that person make friends with him.

there are lots of ways to do this you just have to start slow and build on your successes.

If none of these help find a professional dog trainer who can set up a program for you - please find someone who uses positive reinforcement with puppies!
