Apartment living with dog- help! ?

I just a rescued a sweet little terrier from animal control, but he sleeps in my bed with me. I understand now that this is unacceptable, but I have three other roommates who do not want him sleeping in the common area. Should I buy a crate for him and keep him in there at night? Thank you!

I dont have an issue with him sleeping in your bed as long as he is respectful of your terms. If you can't have him in your bed then I would use a crate or teach him to sleep on a bed in your room. You can put up a baby gate in your doorway or close your door and if he gets on the bed, just tell him off and to go to his bed. You can work on teaching him "go to bed" during the day. But if the easiest solution is a crate, there are lots of nice ones out there that should make you both comfortable!
