How to stop puppy from biting on chocker leash ?

Has to have something in his mouth while walking, so he'll leave the choker alone

I agree with the previous comment about choke collars - especially on a puppy. If you're starting out that early in life it's much easier to train them to walk nicely on a regular flat collar or easy walks are my second favorite.

As for the biting on the leash...you could train your puppy to walk with something in his mouth or you could try a bitter apple spray (there are different flavors that some pet stores will let you try out to see which one works best for your dogs) to put on the collar/leash. I'd take off the puppies collar and leash, apply the spray and put back on the collar. The next time your puppy goes to bite on his leash he'll taste the nasty spray and depending on the dog a lot of time that's enough to deter them from biting on their leash again and it take a lot less time then training your dog to carry something in their mouth and it keeps you from always having to have something in your dogs mouth. There are a lot of good options out there, just depends on what works best for you. Good luck!

First, let me say - i'm not a fan of choke collars. You could try a gentle leader easy walk harness.

Perhaps let him carry a toy? Or use a harness that goes on his back so it isn't near his mouth? Have you done obedience training yet? If so you should have learned "leave it". That's a great command for this problem. Another option is to use a metal lead. Often times dogs dont like metal in their mouths.

Hope this helps!
