I have two lab puppies. One was the largest and the other one was the runt. The girl, the runt, has a harder time holding her urine. They are thrirteen weeks old now. We let them out at lunchtime. She sometimes urinates in the kennel. Any advice?

My general rule of thumb is that puppies can hold their bladder the number of hours they are equal to the number of months they are. If she is 3 months, she can be expected to hold it 3 hours. I'm not sure how long she is crated or her feeding schedule and watering schedule. At 13 weeks, I take my puppies out every 30 minutes. If they are crated, its not for more than 4 hours. If they have an accident you should clean it fully with a pet urine deodorizer.

To help, try feeding her in her crate. If you need to hire a pet sitter to come let the puppies out more frequently. Have her urine checked for a UTI (common in females). Do not leave water while you are gone, only allow water while you are with her. Puppies need to potty after they drink as well so if you give her water take her out.
