hey, ken! :--)

i am sure that U have done plenty of training with past dogs, but this one is showing a new behavior, and it is not only frustrating, it could become dangerous - this is an aggressive behavior.

since U know ** when** it happens - as they depart - i would suggest U put her on-leash, PRIOR to their departure by at least 15-mins or more... b/c if U were t teach her that leashing her predicts the departure of the guests, by doing it just a few minutes before their exit, she will begin to get excited EARLIER - when U leash her becomes a cue to begin ramping-up her reactivlty.

MANAGEMENT comes before training, always - so controlling the situation is key to stopping the behavior, whether U are simply preventing or re-training, U have to have physical control of the dog in order to teach them a new alternative behavior.

for the long-term, i would suggest the book, Click to Calm - it is EXCELLENT and can be safely used as a DIY manual for re-training any reactive dog, whether it is due to fear, aggro, over-arousal, anything.
cheers, and happy B-Mod!
