A lot of this depends on the puppies age, most puppies will jump and bite.

Here are a few techniques you can try.

1. Keep a lead on the puppy and if they begin to jump stand on the lead.
2. If the puppy is jumping and you are on the floor, stand up and walk away. Put up a baby gate so you can leave the area and the puppy can't follow you.
3. TEach the puppy to sit for everything. Sit before they eat, before they play, before they get attention, etc. If the puppy jumps, say "ah ah, sit". Don't overly reward them for sitting after jumping because they can learn quickly that they can jump then sit and get rewards.

If the puppy is under 6 months, find a puppy kindergarten. If the puppy is over 6 months, find a basic obedience class.

Stay consistent on which ever method you choose and remember the behavior will get worse before it gets better. Along with age, the dog should outgrow this behavior.
